Marc Crombez
Marc Crombez has served as Managing Partner of Essensys since the company spun off from Ernst & Young. He graduated from the Catholic University of Leuven as civil engineer (ir.) in 1975 and postgraduated in Business Administration in 1988.
He started his career at United Nations Industrial Development Programme (UNIDO) in Indonesia from 1977 to 1980.
From 1980 till 1987 he joined Chamebel, Brussels (a world-class subcontractor for glass façades) where he developed the UK market and later became Regional Representative for the Far East, based in Hong Kong and Singapore acting as Director of the local Subsidiaries. Later on, at Hunter Douglas, Rotterdam, he acquired the necessary B2B and B2C experience as Business Development Manager for Window Covering Products, Belgium.
Then, at Silicaatsteen (Genk) he realized as General Manager a change programme and increased the turnover with 80 % over 6 years.
Subsequently he became Director & General Manager at Haironville – Métalprofil (Liège), Director and Sales & Marketing Manager at RC Systems (Landen) and finally joined Ernst & Young Executive Temporary Management in 2001.
